The MicroSTAR advisory council is always on the lookout for (many) talented artists.
You do not have to be a MicroSTAR member to become one of our featured artists.
If you are interested in being considered as a MicroSTAR featured artist, forward a sample via mail (or drop off) of your "work" along with a bio, artist photo, and anything else that you would normally include in a pre-kit. Yes, there are faster ways. This is simply one step in our screening process for those who are very serious.
Whether your work is Music, Art or Film, we want to see and hear what you are excited about.
Steps for Submissions - Zero Cost Reviews
At MicroSTAR we believe that considering new artists is an important part of our business and we take the time to fully review the submissions we receive.
However, because of the volume of submissions we receive we ask that you follow the following guidelines to insure that your work be given a thorough review.
1. Resume – A full resume to be included. Detail your education, shows, concerts, exhibition history, work-related experience, bibliography of publications in which
your work or reviews of your work have appeared. Include everything related. Better too much than not enough.
2. Artist Statement – Please describe your work for us. This statement needs to be a concise description of the art that you create and why you make it. It should be clear enough so that anyone who reads it can come out with a well-rounded idea of you and your work.
3. Visuals – An important component will be representations of your work. Please DO NOT send original work of any kind, as we will not be responsible for the condition of unsolicited materials. Please submit working copy/s, in CD-ROM format that can open on a PC, images and materials to MicroSTAR via mail, include
any online links, website address, etc.
4. Self – Addressed, Stamped Envelope – If you would like your work returned to you after submission, please send a self addressed stamped envelope for return
of materials. If you do not send a self addressed envelope we will assume that you would like us to keep your information on file for future consideration.
5. MicroSTAR specializes in independent work. On occasion we will exhibit reproduced prints, photography, digital images, or video installations.
6. Remember: The review process takes from 6-8 weeks. The sooner we receive your work, the sooner you receive a notice to invite.
7. In the event that we wish to further consider your work, we will contact you directly. Submissions accepted: 100% Independent: Music, Art, Film, Art.*

5 Simple Steps - Music - Art - Film
1. Contact MicroSTAR and request the mailing address.
2. Send only one (1) copy for screening, to the address provided. Music - 1 CD. Film - 1 DVD. Art photos via DVD.
Cd/Dvd will not be returned but kept on file for future reference.
3. Your copy will be screened for: content and quality. (must be rated g.p.)
4. We will make an offer to purchase or not. You choose to accept or decline.
Only those considered for an offer to purchase will be contacted.
5. When you agree. You send or hand deliver the agreed upon number and are paid in full.
* Submissions are only open to Canadian Music, Art and Film artists at this time. Thank-you.
Note: Purchases are non-exclusive. Meaning? You retain control of any other potential marketing, advertising, promotional or distribution avenues.
